Smith And Nephew Exu-Dry One-Piece Wound Dressing made up of four layers. The Outer Layer, a high density polyethylene, the Inner Layers, a highly absorbent rayon/cellulose blend, the Anti Shear Layer, a high density polyethylene, and the Wound Contact Layer, a high density polyethylene. This one-piece wound dressing, designed to cover the wound with reduced friction replacing non-adherent dressings, gauze, and abdominal pads. The Anti Shear Layer protects fragile granulation tissue. Exu-Dry is permeable and non-occlusive, so it can be used as a wet or dry dressing, on clean or contaminated wounds, and is compatible with most topical agents, liquids, and creams. This dressing is ideal for exudate absorption and to manage partial to full-thickness wounds, such as ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic), pressure sores, donor sites, surgical incisions, surgical excisions, and burns (1st and 2nd degree).
