Proper sacral wound coverage requires the correct bandage shape in order to accomodate the area being covered. Smith and Nephew’s Allevyn Gentle Border Sacrum is able to cover a dermal wound, abrasion, or other skin-type condition. The adhesive portion of the dressing is made of silicone gel, which stays on the skin but doesn’t tear away when you’re attempting to change dressings. The unique shape is able to cover the wound in the lumbar and upper gluteus region while allowing for a level of comfort at the same time.
